Ohio Rising Camp

We had an INCREDIBLE weekend at our inaugural Ohio Rising Youth Camp 🖤 We talked intersectionality, decarceration, liberation, privilege and so much more. The future is in good hands.

Ohio Rising is a program to uplift and center the voices of young students, centering Black, Indigenous, and students of color in the greater Columbus area. The Ohio Rising camp inspires young people's leadership in civic engagement and social justice through a comprehensive foundational introduction of various social justice movements, concepts, and definitions such as critical race theory and intersectionality. Youth will not only learn the history and influential cultures of America, but the Ohio Rising program will teach and encourage students to dream and imagine new, innovative methodologies and structures for community & self-care.
