VP: Kamala
Senator Kamala Harris has been selected as the Vice Presidential pick of Joe Biden. She is the first Black woman to receive a national nomination from a major political party in our country’s history and the third Black woman to run for President. She is the only person of Indian descent to run for a top executive office. Senator Harris has been in elected office since 2004, first as the District Attorney of San Francisco, then as Attorney General in her native state of California, and now as the junior Senator for California. She is a daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants.
Black women have always been at the helm of social change and are consistently the most important voting bloc in the United States. That’s why our voter engagement program was developed specifically to reach women of color in Ohio. Help us continue to get out the vote to 60,000 womxn of color across the state of Ohio!
